I love music, I love the sound quality of a record and a needle, and I love the way music inspires. There is also something about physically going to a flea market and searching for your own personal treasures. These life experiences gave me the idea for this new art installation.<br /><br />From a distance you see a bookshelf filled to the brim with books. I collaged the spines of the books with sheet music by Mozart and Beethoven. I also painted various images on the covers of every book. All the books vary in size, but they all look the same from a glance. "Do you ever hear that infamous quote, Dont judge a book by its cover?"<br /><br />Go up to the shelf and touch it. Pull out a book and see what is on the cover. Open the book and read what is inside.
